Our Story

Having grown up on my family’s ranch near Breckenridge, TX, I have been around horses, cattle and leather all my life! Therefore, needing, wanting, and making quality leather products comes naturally to me. I have participated in nearly every aspect of horse related events: from cutting and show events to ranch rodeos, barrel racing and roping - not to mention a year as Miss West Texas Fair and Rodeo Teen Queen. Currently, I ride as many of our horses as I can, work cattle when needed, and rope when I get the chance!

You could say I am a little spoiled when it comes to great saddles and tack because my uncle Ronald McIntire is a very talented saddle maker who has been in the business for over 48 years. I received my first handmade saddle for Christmas when I was two, and I am currently riding my sixth. I loved playing in his shop growing up, but I decided to take working with leather seriously while I was in my high school’s work program. During college at Tarleton State University, I worked for another saddle maker, Wendy Allen. Working for Wendy was a great opportunity to learn the tricks of the trade from another woman. This only increased my drive to learn more about leather, tooling, and saddle making.

After I graduated from college, I found myself back in my uncle’s shop working with him and anyone else in the business to better my technique. Not only did I gain experience working for other saddle makers, I learned the importance of quality workmanship and the time it takes to make a piece that will last a lifetime. Having 24 years of experience working with leather gave me the opportunity to expand and start a wholesale line that is now sold in stores throughout the U.S. & Canada. I am able to spend more time with my daughters, do custom leather work, and employ amazing friends & family to help me along this journey! I am blessed to be carving out a business of my own with my daughters by my side, and we are loving every minute of it! - Miranda McIntire
